What is a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account. Instead of donating directly from a personal bank account or credit card, a donor can recommend that their DAF send a donation to your campaign.

How does a donor donate with a DAF?

When a donor selects a DAF payment option during checkout, they choose their DAF provider (such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or others), approve the donation, and the DAF provider sends the funds to your campaign.

How do I receive the funds?

DAF donations are not paid out by The Chesed Fund. Each DAF provider sends the funds directly to your organization.

If you receive donations through:

• The Donors Fund (TDF) – Contact The Donors Fund directly
• Pledger – Contact info@pledgercharitable.org
• DAFpay (Chariot) – Contact support@givechariot.com

Each provider has its own payout process, so you'll need to work directly with them to receive your funds.

Note: DAF donations will appear in your campaign reporting on The Chesed Fund, but the actual payment comes directly from the DAF provider, not from The Chesed Fund.
